The Breitling Navitimer is part of the classic collection of the Swiss luxury watch brand Breitling, known since its launch in 1952 for its precision flight slide rule and excellent timekeeping functions. Originally designed for pilots, the watch has the ability to perform various calculations in flight, such as average speed, distance traveled, fuel consumption, rate of climb or descent, etc., which is why it is also known as the “pilot’s wrist-worn computer”.
Aviation chronograph watches have a recognizable design, featuring a rotating flight slide rule bezel that can be used to perform flight calculations. The dial usually has three sub-dials for the seconds, chronograph minutes and chronograph hours, as well as a date window. Breitling aviation chronograph watches are available in a variety of case materials, including stainless steel and 18k gold, and straps are available with either an alligator leather strap or a metal bracelet.
